About

Nada Abu Shaqra is the interior architect behind FeelingSpace. Born and raised in the United Arab Emirates, Nada Abu Shaqra found her passion for product and interior design after graduating from The College of Architecture, Arts and Design with an Architecture degree from The American University of Sharjah. Having practiced Architecture for years before solely shifting towards interior architecture, Nada combines both the architectural feel of an envelope and its space definition and elements within her interior and furniture design expertise.

Belonging to the contemporary world, yet holding a sense of nostalgia and emotions towards vernacular architecture, Nada combines both in a well refined product. Her furniture sits in an envelope to give a space a feel and interact with the occupiers by being approachable and tactile. She integrates luxury with comfort, both which rarely co-exist in today’s world. Hence, FeelingSpace interiors evoke coziness yet elegant ambiance.

If you dissect her work, you will find how the world of computer advancement and traditional making methods fuse in a simple and natural harmony. You will be challenged to trace what is handmade and what is machine made giving spaces a neutral palette.

The co-existence of the past and present aesthetics flowing together is what identifies Nada’s interiors and furniture.
